Terms of Service

Last updated: October 24, 2026

These terms cover your use of Earmark, the browser extension, and your purchase of Earmark Pro. Earmark is made by Nikhil Thakur, based in India ("we", "us"). By installing Earmark or buying Pro, you agree to these terms.

1. Using Earmark

Earmark is free to install and use. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it for your own purposes. Please don't copy, resell, or redistribute Earmark, or try to get around its licence checks.

Everything you save with Earmark stays in your browser on your computer. You're responsible for what you save, and for keeping your own backups if they matter to you. Earmark's Export backup makes this easy.

2. Earmark Pro

3. Refunds

You can get a full refund within 14 days of buying Pro. See the refund policy for how to ask. After a refund your license key is disabled and Earmark returns to the free version. Your sessions are never deleted or locked.

4. Updates and availability

We improve Earmark over time, which may change how it looks or works. Earmark depends on features of Google Chrome, and some things, like the exact scroll position on every website, are best effort and may not always be possible.

5. Privacy

How we handle information is explained in the privacy policy.

6. No warranty

We work hard to make Earmark reliable, but it is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We can't promise it will always be free of errors or that every page will be restored exactly as it was.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from your use of Earmark. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Earmark Pro.

8. Your consumer rights

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the country where you live, including in the European Union, the United Kingdom and the United States.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you're a consumer, you may also rely on the mandatory laws of, and bring claims in, the country where you live.

10. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Changes never take away Pro features you have already paid for.
